Joe's Background

Before opening MB Builders, Joe Mihovilovich's background started as a technician at Wiss, Janney, Elstner, a consulting and research engineering firm. As a Sr. Technician, Joe was responsible for supervising technicians on all in-house and field jobs. He was responsible for coordinating projects with engineers, reviewing blueprints, time schedules, materials and manpower. He has over 8 years of experience setting up tests, including compression testing of concrete, load tests on floor slabs, preconstruction surveys, seismic testing, and quality control. His testing also included structural surveys of parking garages, roof inspections and investigations.

Joe changed career courses to work at Capitol Fixtures, a division of Capitol Construction. He was a project manager and responsible for key account management averaging sales volumes of $3 million. He coordinated inside sales, production, purchasing, and engineering. He started a new silkscreening department and developed and established excellent customer relations.

Joe had an opportunity to work at, and eventually own Northwest Paper Co. Northwest is a paper recycling manufacturing plant located on the north side of Chicago. Joe has spent the last 17 years running the 14,000 sq. ft. plant. He has established and maintained a reputation as a business owner with integrity

With his engineering technician background, along with project management in construction and owning his own business, Joe has the experience needed to excel in home renovations and new construction.
